Corpse Bride
Looks like another Tim Burton creepy love tale, i wanna watch it, perhaps after ramadan.
:( I still haven't seen this yet! Sorry Emma I went back home for a holiday and since then it has been busy busy and now it's off the cinemas and you are far far away...
But the DVDs are out! And the is a special 2-disc edition that Forbidden Planet is doing a special offer on... hmmm...
Voltron, Chronicles of Narnia is ace. I'd never read the books so it was as if I was living the adventure as much as the children in the story! Some lovely character depictions particularly Mr. Tumnus (James McAvoy) who is a kind of half goat, half man character that the young Lucy Pevensie (Georgie Henley) makes friends with. Humour is lent to the film by two little beaver characters who are infact quite funny! Lovely winter-wonderland cinema photography. I'd love to see this film again!
I took my neice to watch this at the cinema. 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' is most definately one of my all time favourite films, so I was certainly waiting in anticipation for what 'The Corpse Bride' would have to offer. Must say, it was a brilliant story and what Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter lended to the film was priceless! Particularly Helena Bonham Carter who is just so adorable as a bride who was murdered on the night she was due to elope with her 'prince'... Quite dark in places but the best scenes for me were when both the living and the world of dead collide and the surprises that these bring for both the living and the dead. Marvellous.
