Its a difficult one,
India is known to have the highest abortion rate in the world, many unwanted pregnancies result in abortion!!

Islamically an abortion is only allowed if under 12 weeks, only under extreme circumstances where the baby is life threatening to the mother or if the baby is not formed correctly!!
I did read in an Islamic Text that Islam allows termination at the early stages when life is not breathed into the baby, which would make it under 12 weeks when its an embryo, but many can argue this statement!!!

Many unwanted pregnancies occur in teenagers and adults, i believe sometimes Allah makes us get pregnant to teach us a lesson and then when you miscarry the baby, it was like it was never to be and Allah just wanted to shake you and make you realize!!

If a woman is pregnant, it is a blessing from Allah as a baby is like a gift which all women are not able to conceive, but if without wedlock, then its something that parents need to think hard and ask Allah to forgive them and not let any punishment due to the parents effect the child!!

It would be a noble gesture for a man to accept responsibility and accept the child and as soon as possible marry the mother and face the world, who would have a lot to say about sex before marriage,,, but nowadays who is the virgin???

There is no RIGHT or WRONG answer, I suppose the two people involved would have to make a decision appropriate to their situation as they are the ones that have to live with it for the rest of their lives, whether they have the baby and marry, have a termination or have the baby adopted... and timing is also important as it runs out so quickly, before they know it the 9 months will be over and the baby would have arrived.

This is very difficult and personal thing to comment on? and I guess it would depend on the individual?

i don?t think marrying someone cos their having you child is wise it could create an unhappy situation for all that?s involved including the child? terminating the pregnancy has to be decided by the people involved and if that?s the right thing then its for that couple to decide in the end Allah will decide and its not up to us to judge? its?

I think a ?decent? guy would support the female in what ever she decides and tell her exactly where he stands so she can make the right decision for her? and I think the female needs to know that what ever she decides is what?s right for her.

Babies are a gift from God regardless of the circumstances they are concieved in - It would be a very difficult decision for me if I was unmarried and pregnant so im not in a position to advise but I agree with Taz - a good man will stick by the woman and his child, not abandon them...

There has been a baby boom recently with 6 of my colleagues from work having babies in the last 6 months, 3 males (their spouses) and 3 female staff... a lot of maternity pay!

Around Christmas time 3 of my cousins had babies
and another cousin is also expecting :) :) :)

Now that is something to think about. If you get rid of it you'd have the guilt for the rest of your life and if you kept it you would have to live with the consequences and the stigma attached for the rest of your life.

But if you're with a decent guy he should stick by you no matter what....
