De La Soul @ Jazz cafe LASTNIGHT
I have to say that these guys were excellent, They were so good i feel like swearing! They really seem like nice guys but better than that they have a team thing going on, they have been together for 18 years so I guess thay have had plenty of time to perfect the art of performing. They really know how to get the crowd to praticipate. If anyone is free tongiht PLEASE GO, I definately recommend going if you like old school hip hop. I rate the a 9.5 out of 10.
All the members of de la soul seem kinda amused by me, i was right at the front, ant the kept walking past and patting me on the head and shaking my hand. I'll never wash my hand or hair again.
The new talent they recruited is Butta Verses buttaverses.com he seemed pretty good. If you dont already know, de la soul try to introduce new talent to each of their albums. Examples of artists who were introduced to the world thru these guys are Q Tip form Tribe Called Quest, Mosdef and Talib Qweli....so this Butta V might be real famous oneday.
