Denial syndrome
Denial is a defense mechanism that cushions one against shattering reality," psychologists explain. Painful truth is pushed out of consciousness." Humans prefer the familiar since it reduces insecurity. "Denying is easier than coping with a problem.
Thus, doctors speak of "post-abortion denial." After the killing madness ended in Cambodia and Rwanda, leaders denied genocide ever occurred. Beijing wouldn't admit to a SARS epidemic, until the infected could no longer be hidden.
Denial also dissipates slowly. This was seen in Eddie Villanueva's reluctant statement: "We concede to the will of the people but not to any candidate."
Known as "the ostrich syndrome," those afflicted by denial are blinded by burying their heads in the sand of delusion.

Because if you didnt: Sometimes moms know sheet because they are dysfunctional themselves. Our answers lie within us, not with anyone. The shrinks help us bring out those answers, etc. It makes me sick to see our cultures looking at parents as ideals. As we get independent, we are as adult as they are. In many cases there are good parents, but not always. No matter what case, bad parents or good parents, we have to look within for answers, not to our mums or dads, because this is our life. We know best about ourself, not our parents.
I dont even know what postmodernism means - is it connected to the US Postal Service? I like UPS personally.
Well really! I think it starts with us being honest with ourselves. I got to know about Dr. Nathaniel Branden, this guy is amazing and expert on self-esteem. I'm reading a book of his and got some audio today to listen too.
We have to be honest to ourselves and one way of that is, we wear a blue shirt and ask ourselves what color shirt we're wearing. If we hear ANYTHING but some shade of Blue, you know you got Denial problems.
Another slightly different way is to wear Red shirts and so on.
Ok so just being silly.
Whats the difference between postM and objecti. ?
How do we know we get an honest answer when we ask ourselves if we're in denial? Check the weather. If its between 65F and 72F, you're probably gonna get an honest answer.
Do I ever Stopppppp. lol.
Ok I really dont know. Ummmmm.
Emotions. If we're in the habit of lying to ourselves, we frequently suppress our emotions too. One way to unlock that is regular meditation. Dr. Nathan talks about that too.
I think we have to be willing to say Yes first to:
Am I willing to find the truth about myself, no matter how uncomfortable it may be?
It is hard. One has to be willing to "work" on themselves. First they also have to be willing to accept that there CAN be a problem, and then next to accept that, there IS a problem. It involves lots and lots of reflection.
Shamelessness shouldnt cloud Caring though
but its a good way of survival in this twisted world....
perhaps this might help inspire someone in a good way
if i am incorrect, then i hope somebody might correct me
I know i can be somewhat right or totally wrong but what i gave is just food for thought
