Desi - Lateness


Generally I've noticed that a lot of desis are late, whether it be in this country or back home. Late for work, for parties, for everything!

I used to be late at most things - now I'm a lot better.. usually a lil late but more or less just getting somewhere in the nick of time!

Are you an earlybird or not?

Why do you think Asians are always late?

yeah general rule if you want to invite desis on time give them a time of one hour prior

we were late not to any fault of our own. my sis was waiting at the parlour waiting to be taken to the hall with us. the driver arrives and waits in the car park and doesn't even tell us that he's arrived! so we end up waiting an hour til we realised what had happened!

yeah my sis in law was 2 and a half(!!) hours late to her reception (due to the time spent by the makeup/ hair lady on her mum/ sis beforehand..) few of the guests minded cos they were stuffed with limitless starters.. but the rest of the family ie. us, we got v. agitated.. in true henpecked husband style my bro sat and watched her get made up rather than making an appearance :)

mila we had a dhol player too.. an opportunity for me and my sis to go bhangra-berserk on the dance floor :P

Chots that happend to my friends wedding too, we waited for SOOOO LONG for the whole event to begain, it was just taking forever, everything began at like maybe 9 or 10pm
BUT the wedding turned out to be Beautiful, ALOT of fun and she looked like a DOLL!!! SOOO Beautiful.

Ohhh yeah the best part, THEY HAD A DHOOL GUY with the DJ, so we Danced all night to Live Dhool music!!!
OMG sooooo fun!! I defin was taking notes!

Always invite desis before an hour early from the time you want them to be there. That way they'll be on time!

She should be more embarassed at that bhainse arse of hers more than the food she poured into her purse.

That triple-neck would be a distant second. That gunt would be third most embarassing.

Shaadis dont count since the whole days unorganised you expect people to be late.

Mo, I beg to differ. They are late for shaadis. Then some aunties have the audacity (ok one auntie I witnessed) brought a LARGE purse and had a huge ziploc plastic bag inside which she filled with food from the dinner party for 'take away'

mohammed, you are lucky man, my mother in law fired me from my marriage for that very reason :P
