Discussions with Jehovah's Witnesses
Assalamu Alaikum,
Has anyone had any experience discussing/debating Islam with Jehovah's witnesses? I've had the opportunity a few months ago when I went to Lebanon to visit my parents and that was such an interesting encounter. There is no doubt that like many others, their attacks against Islam come from the perspective of misinterpreting the Qur'an and Islamic texts from their own paradigm and shifting the meaning to fit what they want it to fit. Some of the things they say are so flagrantly laughable. Nevertheless, these people have super dedication to their daawah and they study a lot to master their "talking points". I wish we could do that among us Muslims, we'd be in a much better shape.. unfortunately there is not much motivation among the general Muslim population to get deep down in studying Islam, and many of us are just satisfied in the comfort zone of just doing the 5 pillars...
I bought a few books about JHV's arguments to drill down on them.. they seem to be having a strong move in Lebanon recently and they can be a danger to the average crowds as they're extremely aggressive and talented in communication skills...
