Do you believe in Love?

Some say people fall in love right away by just meeting someone for the first time and some say people fall in love in time. What does love mean to you? Have you ever been in love and if so, how does it feel? Did you end up marrying them? If not, do you believe in falling in love again or have fallen again? Or do you fall out of love or have fallen out of love and what did you do about it? Does love even exist? What is your perception? Share your thoughts!!

hollywood sells what we wants to buy,, we want to see happy endings,,, we want to see good guys finish first,, that reflects our real life,,, sure there are many fans of fiction but reality TV is popular caz it reflects us,, love with family is a natural instinct,,, its love for others wat we have to discover among us,,

It should be understood that this journal is about loving OUTSIDE of blood. I think the fact that we can care or be concerned about even a friend shows love does exist. If you wish a friend good-luck on something, or call to see they are home ok, that is love. Now to what degree, can be upto you on how open or willing to be vulnerable you are.

our definition of "real world" might be a bit different. I can have brute, biologically inclined you can say kindof love for my family, or people in situations of life and death, but this other kind of "love" we associate with "soul mates" or "the one," i think is something more like catering to the demands of certain overly insecure groups of society - and i think hollywood knows this very well..

Thnx Irfani,, my princple in life, keep it simple, keep it safe, keep it respectful,, and we all gonna have fun,,,, Ostentious,,,, Life hits you with a brutal reality when u DON'T live in a real world. hate and rage can take us no where but keep us in a circle of brutal reality. forgiveness and kindness goes all the way,, forever..

I believe in love, we are capable of loving so many in so many ways, very deeply, at different points of our life.
We connect with people we met within minutes. The energy that we bounce off each other is what connects all of us, but people very rarely aknowledge this natual gift from god, often because we are scared, we want to protect ourselfs from being hurt or perhaps hurting ours. But why not take a chance, whats the harm in loving somone, the best thing you can do is Love, and love again, you may be rejected somtime but dont let that bother you, at least you know you have the gift to love and love again and give it unconditonlly...that is Beautiful, That is Islam that I know.

Mega- once again you hit the spot when it comes to expressing things so simply. Forget the test a psychologist did, but the test was a baby monkey in a cage with a fake mother that had a bottle of milk attached. The monkey had emotinoal problems due to the lack of basic love.

i don't know that if we lived a life without "love," then infact we wouldn't be living life. Life to me is reality, brute reality..and this lovey dovey stuff seems to be more hollywood than it is actual brute reality(life)..but "love" is nice sometimes for some kicks i guess..

Love is the first thing we learn when we were born,,,, the love for our provider,, moms,,, and last thing came across our mind when we die,,,, the love for life,,, Life starts with love and ends with it,,,,,, the more we give and take love,, the easier life becomes...

What's that saying "To get a man's heart you have to go thru his stomach"? Something like that. That is why I learned to cook after my divorce, don't want to gain weight with too much love :>)

Proma: I agree...there is nothing to figure out or rationalize if you truly love someone because love should never be a task, it should come naturally. It's like if you're at the grocery store and don't know what to cook for the evening, instead of counting how many days you cooked food to your liking and how many times to his, you are never calculated about things in love. It's a give, give, give but you have to realize that realistically in marriage, you should get back something in return too, I would hope; otherwise it will not be a healthy partnership. You have to work together and build the foundation together for your rock-solid marriage and for your children.

Prom: what you just describe is not love...love is a two way thing. At least thats what I think. I have liked people who havent liked me or vice versa but thats not love to me...that was just some interest or lust or whatever you want to call it. When I was in love, it was a 2 way thing and it was the best experience of my life and I hope I do fall in love again sometime. BTW what the heck is hopeless romantic?? FON: thank you for the advice...you are so sweet :)
