DOES BEING THE FIRST TO MAKEUP MAKE U...
DOES BEING THE FIRST TO MAKE UP MAKE U STRONG OR WEAK, GOOD OR BAD, COOL OR LAME ETC...
i think making up first makes a bigger and better person...specially when u know that the other person is at fault...but dont let this become a routine then we ve a major problem on our hands...
A BRANCH OF A TREE, WHEN ITS WINDY IT BENDS SO IT DOESN'T BREAK,,,,, IT THE BRANCH STAYS UP AND ITS WINDY IT WILL BREAK!!!
MORAL,,,, SOMETIMES IN LIFE A PERSON NEEDS TO LEARN WHEN TO BACK OFF AND LET THINGS GO AND APOLOGISE,,,, IF A PERSON IS TOO STUBBORN THEN LIKE THE BRANCH IT BREAKS EVENTUALLY!!!!!
SO ASKING FOR FORGIVENESS AND BEING THE FIRST TO MAKE UP IS WHAT MAKES ALLAH HAPPY!!!
REMEMBER THE STORY ABOOUT OUR PROPHET WHO USED TO GET DIRTY WATER THROWN TOWARDS HIM BY THIS LADY FROM THE WINDOW,,,,, WHEN SHE GOT ILL AND NO ONE WENT TO SEE HER AND OUR PROPHET WENT TO SEE HOW SHE WAS,,, REMEMBER SHE REVERTED TO ISLAM AT THAT TIME AS OUR PROPHET SHOWED THAT HE WAS FORGIVING AND KIND!!!!
FON & Paradise: Thanks. Apologies for responding late. I have been tied up by a lot of things. Alhamdulillah Ramadan is well. While I shouldn't be happy that such wonderful moments are going, I am quite exhausted by the Daily Ramadan Message deadlines (see JE) which I have had to meet up with everyday.
Yehbandishain: You have spoken correctly, but that is circumstancial. You need to be able to justify that this person's words does not really march his action, don't use their intentions. That is why Allah has permitted us "an eye for an eye." Situations whereby you know someone is taking the mickey, then the fear of retaliation stops them. Otherwise you will be taken for a ride. But make life easy for yourself, by giving them enough rope to hang themselves.
Being the first to make up makes you good, especially when looked at from an Islamic point of view. Islamically, we should not keep enemies. Islamically, we should forgive.
Also, forgiving people is beneficial for our mental health....harboring resentments towards people, and staying bitter towards them is bad for our overall state of mental well-being.
In the eyes of the Masses, it make you cowardly and useless,
in the eyes of the enlightened, it make you strong and seamless ;
In the eyes of the children, it makes you a joke and Ignoble,
in the eyes of the elders, it makes you reasonable and noble;
In the eyes of the "cools", it makes you lame,
in the eyes of the "tactical masters", you win the game.
The Prophet said in a Hadith (Paraphrased):
He who gives up contention, knowingfully well that he is wrong, Allah will admit him into Paradise; he who gives up contentions, knowlingfully well that he is on the right, Allah tells him to chose his place in Paradise.
Which is more important? Temporary, worldly, lowly honour! Or Real, eternal and Higher Honours and Heavenly recognitions.
This is difficult, but Allah loves and rewards the Patient ones. Nothing sacrificed for Allah is sacrificed in vain, Nothing! Do it for Allah and He will raise you in honour (even in this world) over and above all those who mock.
"Warafa'a nahu maakana aliyan" -Recite this often and Allah will raise you to Higher Platforms.
