I had to change my make-up after being here 3 months.... my family thinks my husband has sold me into slave labor since I always look weirdly pale with dark circles under my eys. (the picture on my profile is taken immidiately following a trip to LA in April!) So I got some of my brown power back.
yea i used to go to quincy mosque back when that was the only islamic center. i actually lived in quincy too briefly right after i graduated from school..
yea my fam is here plus i know quite a few families in the area.. i am sure if you ever came to sharon or lowell or burlington center's we probably have come across each other..its after all a small world.
My cousin came to visit from California and she said people in Boston look like Elves. then she went on to elaborate not like Liv Tyler Orlando Bloom elves but wierd woodland creature elves... and you know what I'v started noticing that they do!!!
Also, brown people turn a weird yellow color here which I am really scared is already happening to me!
oh yea my first encounter with the deadly R was at my first job after school. my manager kept insisting to go look at some datarr regarding some customer problem we were having and I kept asking him what do you want me to look at..wicked funny ;)
Yea sorry I don't mean to offend people, I usually have a lot of fun here (so long as I stay indoors) but the people I'll admit are cool and driving is blast. I am in search of that super snooty accent that just sounds like "rich" and people who sound like the chief on the simpsons...
I have learned to say how are you as one word! howaya!!!!!
Ah ha looks like you havent noticed but bostonians actually make up for the lack or R's in places such as datarr which is normally data welcome to boston cheers :)
Oh I am not from NYC I just said NY cause that really hurts. I moved here for my husband's work (at a fine boston institution which I can say many many nice things about also)
you know, the rain the snow, the T that looks like a death cart, the parking tickets the exorbiant rent rates for living rat holes, the slum lords the slave drivers the segregated neighborhoods, the lack of R's in common vocabulary the lack of common curtosy in interaction... I think this place is cursed...I hear the sun is shinning in NY!
