Don't Kiss That Frog
For Mila .. with sympathy :D
from 'Never Kiss a Frog: A Girl's Guide to Creatures from the Dating Swamp '(Paperback) by Marilyn Anderson --> www.amazon.com s=books& n=507846
"A frog doesn't turn into prince charming no matter how tenderly he is handled. This witty book reveals frogs and toads in their many guises, including the Horny Toad, Frogzilla, and Scrooge McFrog.
Single women can't afford to believe in fairy tales. Frogs don't turn into princes no matter how tenderly they're handled. Some men are adept at hiding their webbed feet.... others oblivious to their inner slime.
'Gone With The Warts'
He's your best friend. Your parents love him. He doesn't require sex; he's always good for sex. None of this matters. You've dated him practically forever and you're not married.
Get rid of him. He's a frog!
Almost every single woman I know has had one of these. Three years, five years, 10 years - it's comfortable. He's always there. Right! He's just never there to say 'I do'.
I have known my Long-Term-Go-Nowhere-Frog for - it's embarrassing to tell you this - for 15 years. And when did I suspect it might not go anywhere? Would you believe the first night?
I was at a disco. After sweating up the dance floor with a couple dozen dull guys, I went to the bar. Suddenly, he sat on the barstool next to me. My heart raced. My stomach did flip-flops. either it was the 'thunderbolt' or a massive case of food poisoning. (Actually, it was a massive case of frog poisoning).
He spoke 'Do you come here often ?'
I overlooked his froggy line...
Somehow there was this mysterious connection.
We hung out and hung in for years. We went through many phases: i-cant'-keep-my-hands-off you, if-you-touch-me-i'll-kill-you, go-out-with-somebody-else, come-back-i'm-miserable-without-you , let's-move-in-together, and i'd-rather-be-buried-under-an-avala nche.
The only phase we didn't go through was the pick-out-a-wedding-dress-i'll-get- the-ring phase.
Take it from someone who's been there. Before it's too late, move on, fair princess or your prince won't be able to find you. You'll be bogged down in the mud with a lingering, loitering, green thing.
A frog doesn't necessarily have to be a jerk, a wimp, or a slimebucket. He can be a great guy. But if he's not the great guy you're going to walk down the aisle with - he's a frog. Throw him back into the pond!'
Let the non-frog hunt begin!

its not about right time right place
its not about when you least expect it, it will happen
its not about catch and release
its not about keeping options and your eyes open
its not about Luck....good....or bad
its not about a perfect man Nor a Perfect women
I think we all tell each other these things, to help get threw loneliness, or help each other threw a hurtful time(s).
really its just Fate and what Allah has written down for us....it will happen REGARDLESS of what we want or don't want (at that time).
Maybe Divorce Happens, Death of a Spouse, and Heart Aches happen, and Break ups, and Relationships, and so on Happen, To PASS TIME till we ACTUALLY meet with the person were FIXED to be with in Allah's eyes.
Dose it make sense?
Do I make sense?
I always believed that People are dropped in front of us for a reason, situations are dropped in front of us (BY ALLAH) for a reason....WHAT WE DO with those situations and those people are up to us....and that is WHAT he will observe.
I don't know....i think about these things....I wonder why things happen they way they do....I wonder when it will be my turn....and I think....its Gods will and its Time Passing to keep my mind and body going and busy till I met that ONE or have that Day when I wake and things are Right.
and everyone who has quoted this line to me had a habit of tarting themselves up, and positioning themselves in their pub/ local line dancing class relgiously till they nabbed a man.. which makes it hard to buy
i don't believe in 'hunting' for a mate.. although 'catch and release' is beginning to sound good..
everyone i know who has done that has had to hastily learn the 'release' method....
i reckon, the less effort you put into keeping your eyes peeled, the more you can blame yourself when a minger walks into your life (and you were busy not noticing......) :(
more frog jokes please people!
mila - i can't even flutter my eyelashes at a frog....? i may be doing some of that later..
i already did that to my manager today.... have never seen him so smiley and amenable :D
The doctor leaps up and says:
"Good grief, how on earth did you get that great ugly thing!"
The frog looks down and replies:
"I dunno Doc, it started out as a little wart on my bottom, it felt good for a while but then becomes pain ........!"
A few minutes later, the frog says "OK, OK, if you kiss me, I'll be your girlfriend for a week". The programmer nods and puts the frog back in his pocket.
A few minutes later, "Turn me back into a princess and I'll be your girlfriend for a whole year!". The programmer smiles and walks on.
Finally, the frog says, "What's wrong with you? I've promised lots of fun with a beautiful princess for a whole year and you won't even kiss a frog?"
"I'm a programmer," he replies. "I don't have time for girls.... But a talking frog is pretty neat."
