Download indian movies
anyone know any sites where u can download bollywood movies for free? im really bored and theres no desi movie rental place in the neighborhood... that i know of. *:
click tools -> options
once the options window opens up, you will notice that there are 2 panes. the first on the left of the window lists all categories (connect, irc, sounds, mouse, dcc, display, other) with the second pane shows the detailed options with in that category on the right side. We want to go to DCC
2.
if there is a + sign next to DCC click on that to open the sub categoris of DCC in the first pane. Otherwise you should already have a - sign next to DCC. you should be now lookin at "DCC, options, folders, ignore, fserve, server" sub categories in there.
3.
Now click on the DCC it self and you should be looking at the "On send request" and "On chat request" options on the 2nd pane (detail pane). Select the followin settings
a. select Auto-get file and
b. If file exists "Resume"
that all to do in this section. now the next in line is options, nothing to change there, unless you are an advance user and now what you want done. The next option is Folders, this is where your downloaded media will be saved when it downloads, you can customize it on your own. Then we have Ignore.
4.
click on ignore then in the detailed section have the following settings set.
a. Method -> Disabled
b. File type (should now be disabled)
c. Uncheck -> Turn ignore back on in :
click on OK
alright you did it. that takes care of the mIRC configuration, next step is finding files to download on public servers.
All files to that are downloadable are located on some public server. Just like there are a lot of users needing multiple files, there are a lot of servers offering the downloads.
This is where the search engines comein handy, but mIRC doesnt have a search engine built-in (later i will show you guys how to use external search enines). What that search engine does is that it shows the user a list of all available files (with users criteria) across multiple servers for the user to select his server of choice to download the movie, song, software file.
In the process of downloading, sometimes the connection between the server and your machine is lost, thus "resume" is used in such incidences so that it starts the download from the last point stopped and not from the start. The resume configuration is needed after the installation, and once its done, no need for tweeking as long as you have the machine and the software.
Sometimes, the servers are busy and will make you stand in que before it starts to download the media file onto your machine. so sometimes a little patience is required.
By default, mIRC will make you answer a question, everytime your download starts, as if you want to accept the download or not, we will change the setting to accept the downloads by default in our initial setup, and this issue will be taken care of.
thats about it. now i will go over one item at and show you how to:
1. configure mIRC.
2. Use external search engine for file searches
3. Download files.
4. Watch files (perhaps you guys can do it on your own :) )
once you have downloaded the file, you need to install the MIRC, once everyone is on this page, then the configuration starts. If anyone of you is installng this please identify, so i know if there is a need to show the configuration or not, thanks.
mIRC would work as is, to download all the movies (some might need the codecs to work, all that is needed is the latest version of divx and that get taken care of). mIRC is a share ware so it doesnt need any cracks or key generators. so it is kinda simple :)
Agree with Abshaw...the installation process is rather cumbersome if u dont know how to work with cracks and key generators. Oh ya with MIRC u also need to install XDCC clipper.
mIRC (mardam-bey's Internet Relay Chat) was developed as the internet chat program. the developer's name is muslim name (dont know the reality) Khaled Mardam-bey. I started using mirc in 1997, its been good 8 years, and a lot of versions have been released since.
The actual software is shareware, and comes with a 30day trial period, but after the 30 day period, it only reminds you when you start the program with the option to say, just continue, and it let you use the utility, unlimitedly.
If anyone wants, he can send in the donation to Khaled Mardam-Bey for this software.
Why mIRC?
Unlike bit-torrents, kazaa, Imesh, limewire or any other P2P file sharing software, mIRC does not have a central indexing service/ search engine.
pros a).The tracking hounds like the copyright companies, the record companies, the feds etc... cannot (might not / relatively hard ) track you down from the central repository of P2P index.
b). The downloading time could be as little as 1.5 hours for a 3 hour hindi movie, but at the max i have seen it going to 7-8 hours too (provided your internet connection stays on- i use time warners road runner and am pretty happy with the arrangement).
cons a). It is a bit of a difficult process to download your first file. once you have learnt the ropes, you are home free.
b). you might not find old movies in there (like movies released 6 months or prior)
