I once had a dream which was true. I lost the cap of the tube of my drawing colors. In my dream I saw that the cap was sitting at the third tile from left corner in my class room. Next day when I checked, the cap was exactly at that spot in my class. Though the dream is about a small item but it sure was true 100%.

I'm half Mexican, and I was taught that dreams about losing your teeth are a sign that someone will die. If, however, you just chip a tooth something less severe but involving loss will occur. I try not to let these lessons get to me, but whenever I have the "teeth dreams" I get an awful feeling in my stomach.

dreams usually dont mean anything, if u think of a particular thing you'll definately dream abt it...i doubt stress has involvement in dreams, but i could be wrong

From what I understand, according to psychoanalytic theory, you can't interpret dreams in terms of objects. Every object doesn't represent something like most people would think. Instead, it's thought of in terms of symbols. What do those symbols mean to you? Once you can figure out a pattern in your dreams and the feelings attached to it, you can do dream analysis on yourself. All those books in the stores that say a feeling of falling means you're losing control over your life may not necessarily be true. I think each person has to make the determination themselves according to their own surroundings.

I used to get nightmares when I was young.. I dint have any dream for last so many years, until last month; when I saw myself walking on the platform bare feet and drinking tea with my grand parents who are not with us anymore (detailed story in my JE)... and few weeks back I saw myself shrinking to the size where I could not reach the door knob etc... Few days back, I saw myself sucking and licking on the sharp edge of knife (I wonder if it had blood on it.. lol). My recent dream was sorta' scary.. about my sis. I do not want to mention that dream here. Anyhow, they were all weird dreams and I dont think they can be true or are of anything relating to real life; they weren't my thoughts before going to bed either. - A different version of nightmares, I guess.

Stajani....your comment about dreams coming true reminded me of something. Sometimes I'll have a dream that seemed so real....that during the day I'll not realize it was infact a dream. I'll give you a small example. I met up with my friend once and started asking her about her fight with her mother and how she can solve the problems etc....and she had the weirdest look on her face and had no clue what I was talking about. I told her that she had called me and was crying and told me what happened. Anyways It slowly dawend on me that the phone conversation I had with my friend was infact a dream...

Now, I have had many dreams that have come true as well. I dreamt couple times that I got a speeding ticket and I actually ended up getting one...hehehehe..then I have had other dreams that came true. I really cant remember but it happened...BTW, does anyone know what it means when you dream about someone dying?

Well I think dreams have some meaning to it...some what!! I always have dreams of drowning in the water or have dreams where I am stuck in elevators. These dreams are very common for me. I realized that it has to do with Suffocation. Because of my dreams, I never learned out to swim. I tried many times and just couldnt go through with it.

I forget all my dreams, when I was a kid I could remember what I dreamt while sleeping but now I don't remember any dream.

oh, one other thing.....sometimes I'll have a really strange dream.....that I only remember bits and pieces of, and then I'll have the exact same dream again, but many years later...weird eh?!

right before math exams I used to seriously come up with problems in my head and actually work out the answers. If I couldn't figure one out, and my dream clock was running out of time I would wake up all sweating in the middle of the night and look through my text and find the answer....and then go back to sleep. (i'm a fast sleeper, the moment my head hits the pillow I'm out). It was great because, although I was sleeping, I'd get another 6 to 7 hours of revision done. Somrtimes it would be a rather stressful sleep though :(
