FREAKY! Yet exciting. It seems hard to imagine now....but will scientists ever be able to take the electrical impulses in our brain and form images with them? Cause when you think of it, that's all they really are.

Abshaw, interesting theory. I can't answer that, only Allah (swt) knows. But you do raise an interesting point. JP, I've seen it on the TV shows as well (Discovery, Learning Channel) which talks about people who have had such experiences. Don't know what to say or how believable they are. But the US gov't is conducting research in regards to out of body experiences (according to teh same TV shows).

ok, but what makes you think that your body is the only body carrying you soul, i say a soul is too energetic to be carried in one container, thus carried in multiple containers, depending on its intensity. So your soul could be shared by 2, 4, 50 other containers, who knows?

Abshaw, that's a pretty unusual way of looking at it. but pretty interesting. i never thought about it that way, but it reminds me of a story my mom used to tell us about going to bed thirsty. she used to tell us that if we were thirsty, our sould would go looking for water when we were sleeping and if we tried to get water from a fridge and someone shut us in there, we wouldn't be able to wake up. :) but what you said violates the rule that we are all held accountable for our actions. if someone gets punished on another planet for the actions that we did during our dreams, that it goes against what god said about us being held accountable for what each soul does.

Hmm! you could look at it like that, but the coupling concept differenciates it from just being an out-of-body experience. It also opens up the door to external bodies to come inside yours. kinda of inner-body-experience if you will. :o)

well, i think i can share my theory about dreams here, hopefully without being laughed at, but it doent matter. Here is how it goes. Everything that we see exists, occurs as a couple / balancing force to keep equilibrium. for space there is gravity, for positive there is negative, for day there is night, for time there is eternity, for darkness there is light so on and so forth. We (as in individual human beings) also exist in couples, but that doesnt nesessarily mean that we both exist on earth, my second double/ couple could be in a millions and billions of galexies away on another planet-X. Now because we are the same/couple we share an extreme bond togather. When one of us goes to sleep, the soul travels to the second soul who is awake at the time and thus occuring in a dream. Now the same physical laws of nature dont apply anymore as we are now an invisible force that somehow control our own double. So we can make our double do things or do it ourselves we are not held accountable for it, as we are the foreign force there, so if we do something mischivious or something severe like killing someone, we still manage to wake up the next moring, but the things that we did do or think we saw as dream are somebody else's reality, he gets punished for our wrongdoings becasuse we were in controll then. Similarly, when they sleep on planet-X they come and try to mess our things up, thus leaving traces of UFO's, ESP, extra terestrials etc... But if both parties of the couple is either awake togather or asleep togather, then no contrl shipt occurs, hence resulting in no dream nights..... ///////////////////////////////// Now i dont know if it makes sense, or have i totally lost it?

Abshaw...BTW your comment reminds me of another thing. It seems that images sre still intact for a short while, even when the object/person is removed from the spot. These images are too dim for naked eye. But they have either invented or working on cameras which can catch such images even after a person has left the room. They are or plan to use this technique to fight crime.

well i dont know of any current gadget that will do that, but a movie tried to portray something of that nature. "Minority Reports" where the police are notified ahead of time for a crime that is about to happen so they can apprehend the criminal before he/she commits the crime.

Hey that wasnt the point. It was only a thought that how interesting it would be to record our dreams and see it later as we hardly remember dreams.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if it has already happened. In case you do come to recollect where you read/saw it, let me know. I shall also search for some more info on it.
