No contest, The Cure takes it. They have inspired so many bands and have a loyal following. Duran Duran on the other hand was too mainstream and nostalgic. No comparison, The Cure had their own look, style, and did not give a care about what was popular.
Oh yeah, check out a band called "The Bravery" if you like Robert Smith type vocals.
o i think duran duran would win hands down, i mean the meaning to their lyrics for most of their songs are pretty deep n meaningful,so theyd probably have a good brain for tactics in a game of dodgeball:) lol
hmm...he surely did...but it seemed more apparent with the cures....haha....thats how i have remembered them, perhaps first look and impresssion form childhood days....
but over all duran duran was much better...appparentely, their last album, The astronaut was not bad, conisdering the fact that they were famous in the 80's only. Dont you guys thing we shoudl do something to revive the good music?
yeah, "boys don't cry" was one of my early favorites. i think the year was 1986 or 1987 when i bought my very first cure tape... "standing on a beach"... and i liked "boys don't cry" upon my very first listen.
hahaha....well if ur seapkign literally, the i wont know, however if ur talking about the looks and style, perhaps, Duran Duran....they didnt wear eye liner, so mor masculine touch?:) but coming to cure, dont u simply love this song "boys dont cry"
