Eid Activities
Salams, everybody. I'm visiting Boston this week and was wondering if anyone could tell me about any community events. Specifically, Eid prayers or any Eid celebrations. I'll be in Cambridge mostly but interested in anything in the Boston area. Thanks....Sayeed

the mosque on prospect is islamic society of boston (isb). there are lots of little ones in roxbury and in the suburbs. isb is building a huge mosque right across the street from the reggie lewis track center (where eid will be) but to my knowledge, there aren't currently any large, well-organized mosques. and a lot of the mosques that do exist already are quite sectarian.
the intercollegiate msa dinner is on saturday nov 5th. the reception is at 6:30 and dinner at 8pm.

t- how come i get no invite? :P jk. i have to go to class anyway.
I am also new to the area. I am here for about 8 weeks. What are some of the main mosques in the area. I mean is there a central mosque for the Boston Area?
So far I have only been able to find the one on prospect avenue.
Starling: Where will the MSA dinner be held? I would definitely be interested in that and any such activities for EID.
Jazakallah
salaam, sk.. if you are interested, i have a few buddies who would like to celebrate together. n-mail we and we will host you after prayers insha Allah
for eid activities, a lot of muslim students usually go to ihop for breakfast after prayers. if you see college-aged guys at prayer, just ask them and they should be able to give you details.
on saturday night there is an intercollegiate msa dinner. again, sorta a young crowd, but hey, at least it's a celebration, right?
there are lots of little masajid in boston and surrounding 'hoods. if you go to islamic finder and type in "02115" for your zip code, you should get a whole list. try going to some of their websites and see if any of them are having eid parties.
enjoy your time in boston.
sunny day today! everyone enjoy! :)
