Emerald in Manchester

Salaam - I've just posted an event, basically a social a few friends and I have organised under the banner of "Emerald" - a good chance for fellow Manc-based Naseebers to catch up in person since the first meet up in July - the London one a few wks back was awesome... calling the villagers to make the Manchester one a success!!

BTW - novelty green star sale (as opposed to blue cross sale!) ends this weekend - the ?15 adv rate will then revert to the full rate of ?18 adv... hurry for those that may ponder buying a ticket

hey guys hows it going?

Been pretty tied up with work and this is the first chance i had time to peek into the village for a while! Looks like everyone wants a meetup? good luck :)

Rufus you are right, in that there isnt really anyone from Manc posting on this village. Me and Mairah are from Glasgow and Dr of Drs is from London. Aftab is Manc based but i think he is pretty much tied up on other things.. this is probs why we haven't organised anything in a while. The Manc community seems a little shy from what I can see.. cmon neither you Rufus nor you Labs are Mancs! Guess Mancs got enough of a social life already without Naseeb get to gethers :(

good luck! From past experience - 4x emerald events held in the city (by me/aka Fake Manc!) for the Real Mancs had people come from across the all over the north, with only a few resident Mancs from this village - so the village must be made up of fake mancs or mancs with other duties/things to do ... I'll still continue with my Emerald event postings - next one = Sat 15th April inshallah... meantime, hope you get some activity from this village! Or R.I.P. - Manchester Village.... -:-

Kinda know what you mean - as my comments on this village are pretty consistent.... ie. unless i'm proved otherwise, a lot of apathy or people pretty content with doing what they're doing... (whatever that is!) - as opposed to trying to live up to, what I thought this village was about - ie. meet up for socials/catch up in person, as opposed to remain 'virtual' on the web!!

hardly a point in going for it when hardly anyone seems to notice it...i had city centre or worse comes to worse rusholme (wilmslow road) meet up where u drop in for a drink rather than a meal

BTW - next event = April 15, venue tbc - as for casual meet up, go for it! I'm sadly not about much over the coming weeks - leave that for other villagers:)

Salaam Enigma - met up @ Indus 5 restaurant - details of this and all the previous meet ups listed under the Village events - assuming that's the best place for the posting! See "Emerald: Saturday Night Social" events...

ok i get no reply...ok how about a casual meetup...just a suggestion even though its pretty daunting to realise there are so many naseebers in manchester and meeting up could ensure that you pass each others pass...but hey what the hell...so what says you all you mancunians in naseeb to a ...a casual coffee break, no preparation needed no time consumed!!! anyone tempted?
