Equalizing and Desi genes

Do any of you people have trouble equalizing? I personally don't have a problem, but some desi friends of mine have trouble equalizing even at like 5 feet.

What about you? Trying to see if there's some link here between eustacion tube diameter and desi genetics.

I think you're incredibly stupid for questioning South Asian genetics, if there is such a thing! ha ha ha!

Clearly something is amiss with your friend's sinuses or eardrums...

Learn to equalise properly and blow your nose before dives...

Go see an ENT specialist.
If someone can't equalize easily, they shouldnt force the issue. Last thing u want is trauma.

Desi genes ? What are those ?

Pretty much what Aurvoir said. It's got nothing to do woth genes. I just equalize every couple of feet when descending and rarely have problems.

When I first started, I found that when I got my weights right, I was more relaxed, and everything, including equalizing, was easier.

I don't believe equalizing has anything to do with desi genes. I have seen a lot of gora people having the same issue. I think it depends how many times you try to equalize especially in first 10 feet (rule is equalize early and often). Being tense is another significant cause so relax and enjoy.
