Executive Decision

I love being a first born. Not only because I can boss all my siblings and cousins around but also I can lead them by example. I hardly disagree with them, nor would they across our boundaries. They call me 'kak long' which means a first female daughter in the family. However, an 'abang long' is for a first male son . Basically, in Malaysian Tradition all first-borns would have something in common: sharing an afffectionate 'nickname' which specifically designs for us as a respect.

Most of my siblings and cousins are quite 'loud'. Indeed, if nagging is an olympic world sport, my family would have gotten lots of gold medals:) Usually, I tend to listen more than do the talking. We tease each other a lot, either we laugh together or laugh at each other for such a silly matter. We adore and love each other very much despite of we also have some little 'issues' between us as just like many other normal family do.

Being 'kak long' is such a great honor for me. Allah has chosen me to be at this lovely place, a first-born child---a first lover for my beloved parents, grand-parents, great-grandparents, uncles and unties. Yes...I'm still ' the one the first and the only one'.
