Eyes - Longer Thicker Lashes without Mascara


Any body here know of any products that could be used on your lashes to help them grow back/grow longer/grow thicker?

If so, have you used them? What do you think of them?

Not a silly question at all. :) I've used it on my scalp...and should do so more often. It's pretty amazing! Try your best to apply it to the scalp the same way that you would olive, coconut or amla oil. It's not easy, though! I would *not* suggest leaving it on overnight.....just a few hours.

You're lucky it was a desi aunty....When I bought some from a local pharmacy, I was asked if I would be going for some medical testing (hence the need for a laxative!). Needless to say, I didn't hesitate to clarify! :) Health stores are probably a better option because they understand that castor oil is used to make products like lipgloss. (I have a recipe for that too, in case anyone needs one.) :)

You should notice a difference within two weeks. Use a small amount and try to avoid clogging your lash follicles with the oil.

Most people steer clear of castor oil because of its consistency - it'll feel like you're applyng honey to your hair/lashes. You could use olive oil as well....but it doesn't work quite as quickly....and it burns the eyes!

Talika products do work (my friends have told me)...they are available at sephora...and that too contains castor oil...so you're probably better off getting it for 5 bucks at CVS than paying 30 bucks at sephora..

Alright, this may sound odd, but here goes... :)

Castor oil is the most effective natural lash-thickener that I know of. It promotes growth and thickens hair - even when used on the scalp. For your lashes and brows, just puts some on a q-tip or on your fingertip and apply before going to sleep. It has a sticky consistency and so it may feel strange at first, but it works. (You can buy castor oil at any health food store or pharmacy. It's most well-known for its laxative properties, so you may get some funny looks from the cashier. :)) Do give it a try for at least a few weeks...

WELL I AM BLESSED WITH LONG THICK LASHES,,,, I FIND WHEN USING MASCARA IT CAN ACTUALLY DAMAGE THE HAIR AND HELP IT FALL OUT,,,,, I USE MAC PRODUCTS IN MASCARA AS FIND IT MAKES MY LASHES LOOK GOOD AND THEY DON'T FALL,,, BUT EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT,,,SOMETIMES CHEAP MAKEUP CAN DO MORE WONDERS THEN EXPENSIVE ONES!!!
