Fate of the Universe


I was just studyg about escape velocity and stuff...There are 3 things that may happen to our universe. It may expand, not move an inch at all or it may start collapsing to give rise to a Big Crunch. What is the more likely to happen?

not only is it expanding...the rate of expansion is increasing.

Anyone read the 'physics of the day of Day of judgement' article floating around? I haven't in some time, but it made some sense back in the day.

e.g. If time is based on the expansion of the universe, it's collapse would result in a reversal of time, in which case history would repeat itself (in reverse), but each of us being unable to alter what was already done. The concept seems to coincide with our bodies being testament against us on the Day of Judgement.
