Yoga is so versatile and everyone has one or those few postures that they really enjoy. Mine is the Shoulder stand....I can relax right into it and feel wonderful right after I'm done. What does everyone else like?
I'm not too good at describing poses (I tend to get very wordy), but the photos in these links will show you the Pigeon (or "One-Legged King Pigeon", which is the full name, I think). The version I do is shown in the first link; in the upper row of photos that are displayed in the middle of the page it is the pose in photos 3 and 4 (from left), while in the lower row it is the fourth photo from the left. This is the easy, beginners' version of the pose. (Sorry about the scantily dressed man, but I couldn't find good illustrations...)
The second link shows the full version of the pose. (The article says that the "full" version described is just the first step in a series of tougher Pigeon poses!) www.yogacards.com www.yogajournal.com
haha i wanted to say childs pose but felt like such a wuss saying it,
typically i go to a yoga class after lifting weights, certain poses based of warrior get really hard after a legs workout and downward dog and plank are impossible after a chest and shoulder routine.
