Chris Cornell
Tyler Connolly (Theory of a Deadman)
Josh Homme (Queen of the Stone Age)
Sinead O'Connor
Ian Astbury (The Cult)
Billy Idol (don't laugh...one of the most under-rated unique vocalists!!!)
Kate Bush
I've only seen 5 of the 14 above live, but to me the best is super-clear, I've seen him 4 times now, as part of 2 different bands, and every time i've felt goosbumps for days - whether it's the climax of 3 Libras or the growl of Stinkfist, it has to be Maynard.
I'd have to say either Foo Fighters (love that new one they've got out!) or Pearl Jam (but only their first 2 albums)
Trapt is pretty good too, and so is Maroon 5, not sure if they are totally "Alternative" though.
dead village isn't it....i vote on all of em...alternative music folks sing w/ emotion which i like...all of the ones you mentioned do that. i would have to say that Zack De La Rocha is pretty good too if you count RATM as alternative.
