Favorite Run??

What's the most scenic/reinvigorating/breathtaking . . . .you get the picture, run you've ever taken? I just moved to NYC, which definitely isn't the suburbs of virginia that I grew up in . . . so it's a bit disconcerting in that originally, I thought there was no open space for me to run. I was feeling a little nostalgic for home, but as it turns out, I live is right next to central park and what's called the 'track' right in the middle of the park. For the past week, I've been waking up during sunrise and running around the track---which is basically a trail around a manmade pond right in the middle of the park. The track's surrounded by trees, and is made of gravel, so it's got this sort of 'country run' feel to it. It's amazing, b/c the city is just sooo crazy and loud, but when i'm on the 'track' it's like I'm back home running along the trails in my hometown---the only hint that one's in the city is all the towers in the background, but if you just close your eyes you can hear the birds sing. It's a nice respite from the stresses of everyone calls the 'newyork experience'. That said, what's the best run you've been on, and why?

As a sidenote, if anyone wants to train for the nyc marathon this fall, drop me a buzz and I'll give you the info when I get it.

central park is a nice place to run. I used to go there when I was in NY. But I've heard bad things about the NYC marathon. I know someone that ran it and she said it took forever because there were so many people running in the race and it was not very easy manuvering through the city streets. i'm definately not marthon ready yet..maybe a half.
