favourite teams?--Go Leafs GO!

The Leafs are currently in 4th position in the northeast division---things will get better( inshAllah!). Stupid Ottawa! Stupid Spezza! Stupid Heattley!( im obviously not bitter at all!)

Just wondering what your favourite teams are and how they are doing since im biased and don't really care to look at any other teams stats.Any predications---will Ottawa run out of luck---i hope so!

I love hockey, love how it gets me excited, and sometimes angry!--I would figure theres others out there that love the same adrenaline that only hockey can provide, and in turn this village would be a little more lively!

inshAllah i want to do some sports journalism as im pursuing writing currently--so i need to learn to free myself of biases!-

please suggest any good websites for stats and sports editorials--thank you

That wasn't a very long winnng streak. When it came to a shootout, I knew there's no way they were going to win. Vinny Lecavalier scored an amazing goal on Belfore, deking him out and shot the puck in the top corner. Atleast they got 1 point against Tampa.

The losing streak finally comes to an end! What a game! Overall, they looked okay. The defenseive aspect of their game has to improve. 4-2 victory over Florida nothing to to be all excited about, but it's a start. Let's hope they now have an 8 game winning streak. Yeah I know, Wishful thinking!

Time to clean house, looks like the Habz and leafs are going to ruin the fact that all Canadian teams could make the playoffs.

This is starting to get annoying. Lost another last night 4-3 to Montreal. The streak's at 8. Any guesses when it will finally end?

the hype before a leafs game is extrodinary and when we win---its even more amazing ! The only other city I ve seen that had some hockey spirit was Buffalo --they have loads of support but still weak in comparison to Toronto fans.

Im a little out of it (exams and such) whats up with Mccabe? and why did nt Belfour play last game?

Historically, Leafs have always used their big cheque books to signing free agents, being 3 rd richest team in the NHL, and ranking #1 in terms of profitability. In the 2003-2004 season, they had a payroll of over 60 million US, which was 3rd amongst the NHL. Unfortunately, with the salary cap, they can't do that anymore.

What it comes down to is the owners making money. The owners know that the Leafs will sell out every single game regardless of how good or bad the team does. There's no chance in hell of the Leafs ever folding. I'm not sure if you villagers ever seen they hype of the Leafs fans outside the ACC before any Leafs games. From what I've seen, not many cities have that much interest in hockey. It's unfortunate that a lot of good hockey players are from the Toronto area, but never played for the Leafs.

LoL, dont get me started on the Leafs biggest problem. They dont know how to draft or sign free agents. Ive been a Leaf basher since they traded away Dougy G. First things first, get rid of Wade Belak, my day old left over plate of Birayani is more useful than he is!!!

Leafs suc, they have done nada since television went color. Perhaps they should pry Allan Bester and Gary Leeman out of retirement.

Maybe they should combine the leafs and habs. Thats the only way they can win the stanley cup! :P

The Habs need to be completely shaken up. I realize that Gainey does not react in a knee-jerk fashion, but something has got to give.

Theodore has just been atrocious. Even I, a Theodore fan for a long time, can see that he has been a complete disaster this year. I don't care how badly the guys in front of him are playing. There are certain shots that a goalie making 4MM+ just HAS to save. Julien got fired, but the problem was not the coaching.

I can't wait for Gainey to make some trades. And, hopefully, he won't trade away our best prospects. Because, I'd give anything to reverse the deal that sent Garon to Los Angeles, and bringing Bonk to Mtl. Garon would look pretty good in nets right about now.

Anyways, I could go on and on about the Habs. But, I won't. LOL....

The only consolation for Habs' fans is that the Leafs aren't doing much better. :P

I'm not sure if you Leafs fans watched the Sens game tonight. As usual, history repeats itself. The Leafs got clobbered 7-0. Maybe better luck on Monday. They gotta end that losing streak.
