Hey,guys, are there any tennins playas around, , lookin for a good game , around greater london
spring's round the corner, and my rusty racket has been giving me imploring looks!!!!

TR, I soo know what you mean. Everytime I watch tennis.....I pick up my racket and go out for a game, and if there is no one to play against at the time, I'll go to the school near my house and hit against the wall for a few hours! I like watching tennis..but I'd much rather prefer being on a court and playing myself rather than watch others having the fun!

cool, been playing with my housemate in the park near by, pretty decent court. hey, where can i get my racket re-strung here?? cool , we can wait till u re done with exams , speakin of which i have one on tue:( btw, did u come fer the jalebi gang get together last fornight at shezan??

SwtDsny- wow , u r one serious tennis fan, keeping us all updated of the tennis tourneys in every nook n corner of the world... personally i really find it a little painful watching tennis ... coz it really makes me wanna be out there in the middle, feeling the twang of a perfect cross court, the aromatic smell of new tennis b-a-l-l-s .... ah !!!( can u believe they re not letting me spell b-a-l-l-s together lol, i ve been asked to replace them with more appropriate words , hmm lets think... spherical , pneumatic objects lined with canary yellow felt !!! take that hah!!) well thanx fer replying u guys, n hopefully we ll get to play tennis if i do end up in ur neck of the woods...

Sam77- thanx fer the suggestion , i actually know of a site here that organises pools and leagues of sorts for tennis players over the season, am giving it a serious thought , only drawback is that its sort of a commitment ( and u know how scary the 'C' word is fer guys!!! :D)

Liname - u re right , the most frustrating thing abt tennis is ,i cant just go to a court after a whole season of sittin on my fat behind , n expect to rip those serves n dice those volleys :(

Jee_saviola -well, east london, but dont mind travelling anywhere the Tube takes me i suppose ...lol... Question of how good , i suppose u ll have to find out yourself ... u GAME ?? btw, i did get some good practice this weekend over the bank holiday :P , how does this weekend sound if the weather holds...

*sigh* I used to be good once upon a time. I think tennis is something you have to continually play/practice in order to stay good. For me it is at least.. I'm sure you can find some tennis players easily! Check a local college or something.. there should be plenty of people who'd love to play

Its always soo hard to find someone to play with. Tennis is only really fun when you play someone at your level, or better. Trying checking on the net if there is something organized for your area. I'm in Ottawa, Canada and I found a site where people in my area could sign up, indicate their skills and level of ability. They have their contact info also....I"ve met some really good players that I play with regularly from that site.
