Ferrari Maintenance

I know a good loaded Ferrari can range anywhere from $300,000 - $800,000... But that's only half the picture....

ne one know how much it takes to mantain it??? like regular checkup and oil change etc....

I've heard even the most basic checkup goes for ~$10k+, so don't knw whether that is B.S. or the truth..

Ne one have ne input???

Maintenance doesn't have to be that bad. Every major city has qualified shops where you'll save a ton over taking it into the dealership. Ask other owners and they'll point you in the right direction. In Toronto, you'll want to go the rock (rocco).

Figure about $2-3k average per season (depends on how much you drive) for the newer models. If you're using it as a daily, then also factor in that you'll probably be putting on new rubber every season, at least your rears. The $10k figure that people talk about is for major service, not for an oil change! Again, going to a smaller garage will help ease the pain somewhat.

BTW, now is a fantastic time to get into a newer model F-car. Lots of desperate people taking a bath in real estate or the stock market and letting go of well maintained and low mileage 360's for considerably under $100k, and 430's for just over $100k. Unreal!

Older, carburrated cars usually require $400 US per cyl per 3000 miles. This includes gapping points, timing belt or chain swap out, getting the carbs synced up, and fluids/lube.

I am not interested in any ferrari made after 1979, so I have no idea about the more recent models. I know that since the 360 they have responded to market pressure to produce a 'daily driver' level of reliability.
