Flowers

I sent flowers to someone who was moving to Florida for a job promotion. I also sent flowers the same day to a funeral for a friend.
I found out later that the flower shop got the cards mixed up. They sent the card to the guy who was moving that said, "Deepest Condolences," and sent the card to the funeral home that said, "I know it's hot where you're going, but you deserve it."

Khalid- This was the first funeral I attended and its only because I knew the guy. But I do know its Makrooh for a woman to attend a funeral due to our sensitive state and that we cry alot, I think thats why women in Syria dont attend funerals

Just out of curiousity, do Muslim women here go to funerals? I know that in Syria, they don't. Just wondering.

Oh and speaking of funerals, I will never forget my first funeral it was freaky. Once my friends and I stepped out of my car, the smell of creamated bodies freaked us out. And there was this one girl who kept on saying really stupid but freaky things and that freaked us out even more. And when we saw them lowering him into the ground, Man oh man, all of us started crying. and then I put my hands up to my face, and I guess I breathed through my mouth, so I made this weird sucking nose, but it was really funny and very one looked at me and my friends started giggling once we got back into the car we turned off our music and we were quiet and my friends brother tried to crack jokes but we told him that it wasn't the time for jokes. Then my other friends brother called and said that he couldn't make it to the funeral because he felt nauseous after he washed the body. R.I.P. Will (Ra7met Allah 3alayk)
