FM radio stations are mushrooming across the city and the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority recently issued another new stations licences. No doubt, the air waves are burning up. And unlike FM radio listeners in the Northern Areas, who have been regaled by the rants of jihadis urging them to take up arms, Karachiites are enjoying nothing less than a musical revolution( underground music). But who?s going to sift through the air waves to find the catchy tunes and charming RJs at the right time? In case you?re wondering, we?ve omitted FM 101 simply for bombarding listeners with extremely irritating 0900 advertisements.
