Fond Memories

I know UIC is not one of the most attractive campus, but I'm sure we all have fond memories of it. Care to share??

UIC I can honestly say was one of the best times of my life. High school was pretty cool too, but UIC was awesome. All the brothers, unity, iftars, lectures, and bball tournaments. It was fun.

My best memories were skipping class with my friends and going to PEB to hoop it up. I went there so many times, they honestly considered putting a statue of me outside the building. But after numerous planning and construction delays, UIC shelved the idea.

Also, right now I'm in grad school and everyone is serious. Back in undergrad, I still had that sense of irresponsibility. Like it was aight to miss class, it was aight to keep things for last minute. That sense of innocence and less accountability. Now, I don't feel that way. Everything I do is serious, I feel more accountable for things.... I guess it could be the environment I'm in but undergrad seriously was one of the best times of my life. I finished up undergrad early and I really kinda miss it.

Cherish the moment.

I remember reading an article in a magazine about the ugliness of the UIC campus. There was a comment about University Haul (UH) that this building was built upside down by mistake. Come to think of it it does look like an upside down building.

I miss seeing ghetto females cut their toe nails in the dorm computer lab while I was typing a paper.

Once you get to know the mazes in BSB, its such an awesome place to hide from everyone!
I love the way the quad comes alive during finals in the spring though. All you want to do is spend time outside so you do. I remember taking my laptop outside and doing my papers out there!
