Village Journals help
Resonate your identity with Naseeb journals. Express your opinions, share your thoughts, post your writings and connect with like minded people through the power of expression.

For Business Geniuses

Suppose you have been hired as a consultant by Naseeb. Your mandate is to suggest changes in Naseeb that will:

1- Improve Naseeb and/or add more services and enhance member satisfaction

2- increase Naseeb's profitability or at least keep the increantal profits at zero (i.e. extra costs will offset the incremental revenues so profit will remain at the current level.)

What changes would you suggest? Please keep in mind that both the conditions must be met.

I agree with Marissa, Naseeb should listen to its members more often. Users have the best product improvement and new product ideas. All they have to do is listen and act.

Alright, I wasnt aware of the dilemma of the non-paying members. But here again you have people who cant read each others comments if you are not connected and the same worked in the JEs as well. I find there are lots of villages one might want to be in, but they lack the activity or purpose they were created for. And i dont totally believe that you have a whole lot of like minded people on a specific village, I dont see much change in how comments go whether on JEs or in the VEs.

Marissa, i would beg to differ. The JE drill down and link following steps were / are all well and good for the premium members. As soon as the person joins in, the has limited access, thus cannot post his replys on other ppl's JE. Villages have given everbody the liberty to express themselves irrespective of their membership status. I think it should continue to be that way. I am assuming (almost sure) here that most of the naseeb members are non-paying members; hence, all of the people have more exposure via villages and not JE's.

OK, one more point to add, on JEs a person would tend to visit lots of other JEs besides the people in their circle or in watch list as opening one JE usually led to opening another and another, hence exposure was greater to a larger audience.

Definitely, the villages have reduced the activity on JE scene. They have also compartmentalised people, previously you had circles, now further the circles have formed sub-circles. It's a bit like a reduction in the market share when a new competitor steps in, and here the villages been the new competitor, has been eating into the time spent on the JE scene. Also you find lots of new people on the JE scene, the older members having formed groups have moved to more confined groups i.e. villages. People's behaviour on naseeb is also in crests and troughs (appearing/disappearing) and the JEs seem to be affected due to overall behaviour as well. It would be interesting to find out, how much time people spend in villages and how much on JEs, and what was the score before the villages were formed. This is my take, maybe other people view it differently.

Naseeb should definately encourage people to ask their friends to sign up. Word of mouth is the best marketing anyone could wish for. Perhaps if you invite 5 friends and they sign up, you should get your premium membership free for a year.

Great points Marissa, and what do you think about villages? Do you think villages moved people from JEs and reduced overall activity on Naseeb?

1) Naseeb should listen listen and respond. Naseeb has very poor feedback, lacks all sort of customer service. Before making any improvements or adding features, the administrators should reply back to people. I have never received any acknowledgement or any resolve to what I have written, same complaint from other members.
2)On reply back on emails, original msg should remain part of the text or the option should be included, this features makes me not use email here.
3)Mr Poet (whoever) must go, atleast Naseeb should be creative and add flavour, am bored with the same voice same cartoon. I have to turn off the speakers on my laptop before accessing naseeb email. It is annoying to most people as I have gathered.
4) Variable pricing structure geared towards the disposable income in different countries. In simplistic terms, a premium membership in a place like Pakistan/India should be priced specific to what people earn. Expand premium membership base by a geographic pricing structure.
5)Student discounted premium membership - how they do it and how they assess who is a student (beats me) but it's an option to better the bottom line. (Naseeb has to do some thinking here).
6)Prayers for more members like me, who spends about 1/2 hour on naseeb and are still premium members.
