I don't know if this recommendation has been brought up yet, but i would like to recommend Freakeconimics by Steven Levitt. You don't have to be an econ expert to understand what Levitt is talking about in the book. He portrays a very unique side to economic thought. Some of the questions he asks are "how is the KKK like real estate agents" or "how are school teachers like sumo wrestlers". It is a very light read, about 200 pages and goes by very quick. If you want something quick to read and that will definitely keep you entertained, you should pick up this book. Steven Levitt is also a professor at U of C. So all you chicago people out there, support your boy.
