Professional Service Corps is a new pilot program for Chicago Net Impact that allows Chicago business professionals to provide pro-bono consulting services to local nonprofits for a single evening or weekend afternoon. Professional Service Corps offers Net Impact members the unique opportunity to offer highly needed assistance in the areas of: organizational development and strategy, performance measurement, marketing, financial analysis, and technology, among others.
The training session will enable volunteers to build critical skills for managing a consulting engagement, as well as learn valuable information about the challenges facing nonprofit practitioners.
Attendance is mandatory for participation in Professional Service Corps. After the training, participants will be matched with a local nonprofit organization and a team of 2-5 consultants. In a one day or evening session, these teams will listen to the issues the nonprofit is struggling with, and provide a set of recommendations.
