From mujahideen to mountain guide

The BBC's the most reliable and impartial respected news source we have. For those lucky few here who can read and write Pashto, see:

The rest of us delinquents have to deal with English-based stories. Still, beautiful in their essence.

Right on. As things start to look better internally, we can all bask in the fresh new sunlight slowly starting to rise over the Hindu Kush, onto our motherland.
TIME also wrote a story of how an Afghan shepherd saved a Navy seal. Wonderful in its narration, shiver with affection for our countrymen and their beauty.

Wow Dr. Riq. This is sooooo cool. It makes me so happy that Afghanistan is making progress in recovering from decades of war. Even the smallest things, which to most people would be meaningless.... they are all small steps for our country on that long road to a peaceful land.
