Full Time Islamic Schools
AA everyone,
I'm working with a professor at NYU who is doing a research looking at the acculturation patterns of young Muslim kids growing up in the United States. We've decided that tenth grade is the beginning of many vital decisions for young children, especially Muslims. We'd be interested in studying the decision making process and acculturation styles of this difficult age group. I wanted your help in recruiting full time Islamic Schools in the NY/NJ/PA area to help with this study. I have previously done research but have found that direct linkages are most effective, since most Muslims are weary and I only have contact with my immediate surrounding. If any of you have any direct contacts with full time high school Islamic schools, feel free to e-mail me. I could use all the help =(
If any of you have contacts with an elementary age group Islamic schools please email me also. That's for another study down the road.
