Gang Paraphernalia
Weak attempt to resuscitate this village:

Just thought I'd share something funny with you all. (...all two of you who are reading this).
So today at a high school here in Saginaw, one student got shot by another student. (Note: That is NOT the funny part). They said it was gang-related. It's quite unfortunate and sad, really.
But it reminded me of something else. My high school was quite strict when it came to dress code & behavior concerning gang-related things. So much so, to the point that it became pretty rediculous. One of the rules was that no one was allowed to wear any type of bandana... at all... even including girls' headbands. I believe anything thicker than an inch was prohibited (or something like that?).
Anyway. So one day, a girl in my class was wearing a transparent, pink, hard plastic, glittery headband in her hair (the type that my 4-year-old niece might wear. If you're a girl, you know exactly what i'm talking about- every little girl had one). So guess what happened? Yep. A security guard stopped her in the hallway and made her remove it, as it was a dress code violation.
It's very strangely funny.
anyway.. it made me laugh when i remembered it, so i thought i'd share it.
