Interesting topic. I guess I agree with a lot of what everyone is saying. I think people are just curious and want to know what others have to offer. When ever I check out someones's profile it's to see how many people on naseeb have the same style and intersets as I do. I dont have too many desi girlfreinds so I want to know if there are any that are similar to I am. I for one will never display a pic of myself on Naseeb or any other site because of past experiences. I'm a very private person and I share my pic with friends only. Sometimes I feel afraid for the girls on naseeb that display their pics. There are a lot weirdos out there, I hope everyone's safe. :) What bothers me sometimes is girls that send me pic requests that have never introduced themselves to me or spoke a word to me on the on the villages. What is up with that? I never send pic requests to people I dont know! That's a bit strange...... :(

There was this really creepy girl on naseeb that was constantly checking out my profile. She contacted me one day out of the blue, and it turned out that she knew this awful perverted guy that I used to know, etc, and it led to a lot of drama...I am too tired to discuss it all. But to answer the main topic here, maybe some of these girls are in the closet. You never know. Haha. As for me, I check out a girl's profile when I am reading the comments she posts in journal entries and when something she says is particularly interesting, then I want to learn more about her, and if I think she is a really cool person that I have a lot in common with, I will send her a salam. I am not on naseeb to hook up with guys. I prefer to talk to women on here, cause I don't have a lot of Desi and/or Muslim friends. It doesn't mean anything sexual.

The only time I check out a guys profile is when he's written JE that I think is interesting (whether or not it's something I agree with) cause I like to know where he is coming from. I will also check out a guy that one of my female friends asks me to check out for whatever reason. But to be honest, I am contempt with the number of friends I have and I'm lucky to have met a couple other cool guys from here who are now my friends as well. I'm very picky about guy friends cause I usually end up coming across many fake, pretentious, boring (basically the same type of guys that hit on you girls) and I don't like to associate with those type of people. So I'm not here looking for guy friends so there really isn't a reason for me to check out other guys. As for girls checking girls out, I agree with MPG on probably why. But there's probably a healthy number of psycho nut job swf girls on this site that have nothing better to do than to stalk, then hate on, the few (and far between) cool chica's on this site. I wouldn't be afraid, maybe just a little skeptical of irrational behavior such as ritual viewing of your page.
That's my 2 cents, who wants a refund?

A_A hit the nail in the head..........I want a guy to look at my pics and say "hmm she seems pretty cool"....I had a guy actually send me an email tell me my "fuzzy" pic (its still up) shows that I have a big chest and that it makes me look easy or something.........I'm like WTF!? I'm even freaking wearing desi clothes in it! LOL Whatver, just helps weed out the losers! LOL

seriuosly - i do not 'show myself' like a cow for sale..i wear what i wear because i feel like i look nice in it. if some guy thinks i am 'showing myself' it is a good elimination process because i do not want to hear from him either...

Misspaki, that was refreshing, a totally honest answer!
I was actually told by a boy on naseeb that women that show themselves in what is considered revealing clothes or pics with guys in them my be perceived differently, i took a couple of pics down and a day or 2 later put them back up, i am what i am.

I think it is the same reason why girls check out girls at the mall/clubs/etc.........cuz they are probably like "ooh i like her hair, makeup" or "Eww what the hell is she wearing!"...........sometimes I think its cuz girls on naseeb try to appear a little more wholesome than what they are, like they waering more revealing type clothes out nad in person, but God forbid ever post it on here.... so they check out other girls to see what is more acceptable.............me, I put up whatever looks good!! And i check out pretty girls to get tips from their pics! LOL

well since a couple of you have admitted to it and said why and that's cool, i just was not sure of the reason behind it. I don't have many muslim female friends and i guess i never thought of sending someone a salam through here, i didn't know if they would like it's weird. I didn't really think anyone was checking me out for sexual reasons, i was kidding, but when the same chick checks you out it's kinda weird. Like i said i have looked too but i had reasons for it.

hey i check out other girls profiles..and i get checked out to..i do it because i dont have a lot of friends that are muslim and im always trying to make more and if i see someone with similiar interests then i send salaam..i mean if u can salam guy why not a girl..unless ur here to hook up.then its a different story..lol..and guys do check each other out..i know..lol

There is this one girl who keeps trying to check out my profile. She has a cartoon pic of herself up and I don't know her from Adam (or Eve in this case!) Anyhow, I've blocked her out BUT it still doesn't stop her from repeatedly trying to look at my profile. People are weird!
