Give capers a chance!

A lot of people don't like capers, but they're so good.
So here is a very simple pasta sauce recipe that may just make you change your mind (if you hated them). I just made it cause i was hungry and in need of something quick.

Ingredients:
3 chopped medium sized very soft and ripe tomatoes
1 finely chopped medium sized onion
3 table spoons of capers
1/2 can of tomato paste
fresh chopped basil ( i can't say how much but i think i used about 10 leaves)

Method:
in a large frying pan, add lots of extra virgin olive oil (about 4-5tablespoons) be liberal with it cause it make it better.
when the oil is hot add your onions fry till they glisten then add your tomato paste and stir it with the oil for about a minute to get its flavour out. Then add your tomatoes wait till they're soft and loose their juices. then add your capers, your chopped basil and any italian spices you like.

Salt to taste and here is my little trick: add a tiny pinch of sugar to get rid of the bitter taste that tomatoe based sauces sometimes have, and a tiny tiny squeeze of lemon to give it a tangy taste.

serve on top of your favorite pasta :)
enjoy
