Long ago, a poor farmer's Ox died which made him very upset and sad. he went to see the "Wise Man" of the village and cried to him why is he the one punished by God? " I think this is the worst thing that can happen to me". the wise man replied "maybe, maybe not".
this man was angry at the wise man and says "how dare you say that? my only means of lively hood is gone and you are saying maybe , maybe not. surely you are a mad man not a wise man" and he left.

as he was walking back to his house, he saw a very healthy wild horse . He captured the horse and used it in place of his Ox.to plow the ground horse was much faster and ate much less then the ox did so farmer was very happy. He returned to the wise man and asked "how did you knew? I am sure now this is the best thing that can happen to me" wise man replied"maybe, maybe not". this man was angry again at the wise man and says" you are truly a mad man, I know this is the best thing that ever happened to me I don't care what you say" and he left.

month later while riding the horse, farmer's 19 year old son broke his leg. farmer was sad and returned to the wise man with sadness ,and said"NOW I am sure this is the worst thing that can happen to me" the wise man replied again " maybe , maybe not" Farmer stormed out of the wise man's house saying the wise man is nothing but a crazy babbler.

soon war started in the country and army came and took most of the able young men in their teens to fight for their country, everyone died. farmer's son couldn't go due to his illness.
