Going back to the motherland-suggestions?

I'm going for a visit to hyderabad after 17 years. I'm mostly going to hang out with family. I'm pretty excited but unfortunately I have very limited time. Any good places to visit (other than the usuals, ie: char minar, ramoji film city and salar jung museum are already on the list)). Any particular shops or restaurants to check out? I might sneak in a trip to Bangalore if I can. I'm bringing plenty of Cipro and Pepto with me :)

While at Hyderbad, DEFINITELY eat at Shehran hotel. Ask anyone where that is and they'll tell u. Visit Golconda. Thats where a lot of gold mines and good Muslim history is. Visit High-Tec city. Very westernized. Dont know about u but I ate a lot of fastfood over there like Pizza Hut with chicken on it, etc... since they all are zabiha there. Try to eat McDonalds, Subway, PizzaHut, and other places with meat in it. Good Luck. Btw, I have some gifts to give to my cousins in India. Can u pls take them with u? They will only take half of ur suitcase space.
