Grassroots relief fund raising in North America

Dear All,
my sister works for Pakistan Army as a doctore and she gave me the first hand account of the horrible tragedy.
She was flowen out to city of Muzzafarabad yesterday along with three other doctors to set up an army relief camp however when they arrived in MUzzafarabad there was not a single standing structure where the doctors could be housed. The military hospital has been razed to ground along with all the military facilities. Just the military casualites along with Brigade commander and senior military staff , and their families who parished are in thousand.
Military shall not be disclosing its casualties officially but you should know that the toll on those very people who are trained to help out during natural diasters has been very very high.
The urgent request is for warm clothing, tents and blankets as the weather is changing very swiftly there.
We must try to donate to the presedents relief fund all our saddaqa, fitrana as it shall be operational in Pak consulate soon i presume.

NGO's you can't go wrong with. They will make sure your money will go to the people directly, bypassing any mad mullah madrassah or fat cat politician. Also, they are established, experienced and have no ties to terrorist organizations. In other words, your government will not incarcerate you for sending money through them.

Please note that the Canadian of Pakistani women's charity, APWA has arranged a clothes, food, and goods collection in Mississauga.
They have already sent a planeload of goods to Pakistan today, and another shipment will leave on Tuesday the 18th of October.
