I personally feel, when you are talking abt someone WANTING someone, there are two sides to it. One is for sheer matrimony and nothing else, and the second is dat u love someone and wanna spend the rest of ur life with the person. In the second case, caste, creed, age etc. dnt count at all. In the first, i wud say dat marriage is an extremely dicey relationship. You never know the person u r marrying in totality until u spend ur life with him/her, and at times its too late for a change.
As far as a guy wanting to marry someone for a green card, i wud say dat sincerity does come across in conversation. But, if one is hell bent upon hiding his feelings, only Allah will help you.
I dnt have a green card and dnt want one either but m scared to death abt getting married to someone with whom adjusting wud be impossible ! Its all in Allah's hands.

Not sure about Arabs but Desi's love White skin sorry to put it that way but usually that's a motivator. Another one, is just living in a place w/o a lot of desi's, or they could just fall in love with a non-desi, if a person is liberal they can fall in love with anyone.. not necesarily their own kind (I know I didn't) Anyways greencared seekers It think are obvious, I personaly never dated anyone who was not an American when I was single, but some guys want a green card but also want just a wife to be with... so they are maybe tyring to kill two birds with one stone...
