Greetings in DARI

I've been wondering about this for some time now... can someone please give me some greetings in Dari? The equivalent of "nice to meet you" or "with peace" or "take care" or "cheers" or something creative like that. I know of Salam and Khoda hafez. Is "Khair kha" a goodbye?? I saw someone write it in email once, that's why I'm wondering. THank you so much for your replies (in advance)!!!

Someone else told me another greeting... Shaab-e-Khoosh (another way of saying good night besides shaab-e-khair)... Nice!

Interesting, Dr_Riq. I never knew that, but I was in Uzbekistan 6 months ago, and next time I return I will try and use it! Maybe they use it in Kyrgyzstan too... hmm...

I BET YOU DIDN'T KNOW that they use KhudAfiz in Uzbekistan, too. Hey, you never know, it might come in use one day. Having said that; I met this American guy on the train who told me he just came back from Uzbekistan. When I said KhudaAfiz he plainly had no idea what I was talking about, smiled and nodded anyway and left.

it is something to that effect...may Allah be with u or may Allah protect u....and it is said at the end of a conversation when two parties are separating...so in short it is a form of closure...therefore a form of saying bye!

Khuda hafiz would technically mean "May God be your protector," right?

What does "ba-ma-ne-khuda" mean? Sorry, I don't speak farsi or dari. I only speak urdu... please do clarify, thanks!
