Guys, we're serious

Dear All,
I want to squelch any murmurings out there that this might be a joke, because it isn't. We have created this village with the best of intentions: to find the right girl for our brother and to see him happy. We hope that you can approach this village as earnestly as we have. Please feel free to drop either one of us emails if you'd rather not communicate on such a public forum. As for people who want to join this village, you don't have to be a potential Khan bhabi to do so. Maybe you have some pointers or perhaps you have a great matchmaking story to share...we'd love to hear from you!!!!!! Further to the pointers---my brother and I don't know ANYTHING about how Pakistani matchmaking works, so we'll need your words of wisdom.
Okay guys, hope to hear from you soon!!!!!

hats of to you 2 for putting this village together... i guess a lot of us have come across so many of the wrong guys on these sites and have almost given up (this is not a tragic thing) and realistically speaking we are all hoping to find a great person and may not have the network to support that... also i do know a lot of amazing people that are in the same boat...so here goes nothing;)

I also want to add that Sabahat is one of the most respectful, intelligent, confident, caring, and driven people I know. He's been such a devoted eldest brother to me and Shafaat. He really does deserve the best.

Venom, my bhai is very progressive, outgoing and the girls love him. He's dated for as long as I can remember but now he's realized that he's not finding the right kind of girl by dating. Plus, like me, he doesn't have a very large social circle of Muslim peers and he wants that now. I'm not saying that Shafaat and I will force him to sign the dotted line with the first girl we deem right for him; he will definitely get to know her. But rather than random dating, there will be a clear cut goal here. Shafaat, wanna add something here?

Hey Sabila, tell your Bhai to start dating a bit more. This way he can find his soulmate and actually be in love with her before he gets married. Isn't that what marriage is about? Am I in the dark here? I was told as a kid that you should fall in love after you get married but now I don't agree with this philosophy. However, it's kinda weird that you are, somewhat, forced to love a person you marry. Besides, getting married for any reason other then love is wrong I believe. Never mind. I'm stupid. Ignore this post if you're desi cause you'll probably won't like my opinion.

Oh, great. Here I thought you just stumbled across my profile and thought what an incredibly wonderful catch I would be and invited me here to graciously bestoy my charms and worth on the village. Huh. My bad. ha, ha!

Hi T-dog. I'm Sabila! :)
Someone else asked me the same questions you have and I'm sure many of the folks who've received an invite are curious, too. I've been on an invitation blitz. I think that increasing traffic in this village will improve everyone's chances of finding a mate, either for themselves or for their loved ones. I appreciate you joining, by the way!

Freeturk, I'm a sucker for Pakistani men's accents. They start speaking and I start melting into one of those mushy puddles you get when the snow turns to slush in winter.

Who is Sabila and how did you get my name and why'd you invite me here? I'm still married, separated and looking, but...just curious how you found me.

You said it SuperGirl. We have ridiculous standards that we measure people against and it's unrealistic to think that anyone can meet them. Remember what I said in your Prayer's Village about finding Mr. Right? Here it is: "As for finding a Prince Charming: girl, I don't know if he exists. And if he does, he must be hinding out in an Amazonian rain forest---let's imagine that he's conducting research on the efficacy of the periwinkle on childhood leukemia---because he sure as hell isn't anywhere I've been." We all have to learn to compromise a little. I'm not saying that we should settle, but just because we haven't found our swashbuckling cancer researcher/humanitarian/all around saint yet doesn't mean there isn't a perfectly nice, somewhat normal, stable person out there for us. So, what I'm trying to say is that it was wrong of me to say that Prince Charming doesn't exist. This world is littered with princesses and princes. We just have to grow up, open our eyes and look at the things that really matter.

I wish you guys the best of luck on finding a bhabi. I am the first one to raise my hand and admit. I know for a fact everyone deep inside is looking for that one special someone. Even thought we can't seem to admitted at times. It's hard to find your true love, who will be with you forever in good and bad times. Hey if you run across someone who is not perfect but yet who could keep you going day to day. Reach for him or her. Due to the fact, not everyone is perfect. It's up to us, on what we make out of a person or even situations. Good luck!

Thanks for joining Febe! Yes, psycho stalker people is a risk we all have to take, I suppose. Call me naive, but isn't there a smaller percentage of psychos on this site as compared to non-Muslim sites like Friendster? I'd like to think this is true. Freeturk, everyone's beautiful.

are all Pakistani girls have to be so beautiful? Or is this my biased view? :P ~Can

Honestly, I've been on an invitation blitz. I've been sending invitations to random people, without even checking their profiles. Single, married, divorced, widowed, male, female...it doesn't matter. I think we can all help one another.
