Gypsybar Review

gypsybar.com

Used to be called Pravda, gypsy bar attracts the "international" wanna be crowd, but you won't find many iternational people there. It has a bar at the front and a small/decent size of dance floor at the back, I believe called the "Red Room". As the name signifies the red room is red with 2 bars. Drinks are expensive, if you are a bar type person, just like any other clubs in Boston downtown, a long island ice tea or kamikaze runs for about $10 and obviously you have to leave a dollar or two if you wanna be served by the bartender again. The staff is nice in general. People are trendy with ages 22-27 in general. Which means they just got out of school or young professionals mostly.
Music is random with mixture of everything, beside trance or electric, like 80s, Reggae, Hip Hop, Disco, Top 20 and Pop etc. Sound system is OK for the size of the floor. Ratio of guys to girls would be 3:2 which is not bad and mostly people come in groups. It's better to have a buddy before hitting on a girl coz her friend needs one too or she will take her away.
Oh the cover is $10 and it's open on Fri & Sat and closed on Sundays. You can park your car in the parking garage under boston commons for $15.
I would rate 3 1/2 stars. Definitely a good place to go to.
