Hair straightner??

I have fine wavy hair, right now I?m using Revlon straighter, but I want to buy a better one cause this one really fries my hair. Any suggestions ladies??? I was looking at the Conair Straight styles professional straightening iron. Also, is ceramic better than the gold/silver plates???? :#

Tayy-
Ive had it for about 6 months only so Im not sure if its going to break soon or not...hmm...seems to be doing okay. I dont use it too often either, sometimes i just blow dry it- I basically use it when I want it to be super straight and really shiny (if Im going somewhere).

I dont know about the quality but it seems to be pretty sturdy. I will say that it is not as good looking as the Chi and others. Its pretty ugly but its awesome at straightening hair.

Good luck...

Maxiglide by Maxius- you can do your whole head in less than 5 minutes- go over each section only once- no blowdrying necessary- just let it dry naturally and plug in the iron. Has a steam setting to add moisture to dry ends too. And the best part is it only cost 79.99 (and sorry to the Chi users- this is waaay better hands down)

I like Prive Relaxing Gel. My stylist recommended Keune Straight and Style since I am using the shampoo & conditioner (which is awesome for desi hair btw). I got a bottle of that once my Prive ran out. Both are very nice products. I have been tempted to purchase a less expensive one from Walmart/Target, however I would like a solid recommendation since I am satisfied with the one I used now.

Yep ceremic is supposed to be better--I actually asked my stylist to order me one--most stylist have these great books with professional products so she selected the one which is the best for me, my hair and ordered it for me...if yours can't do that then ask for their recommendation for your hair type and which company to buy it from--
