HAMAS WINS

Palestinian political party hamas has wont the elections which is surprising for a few reasons. one election was transparent and hamas is taken as a a terrorist group by israel and western world and y wud palestinians vote for a party hated by the whole west ??? is it just coz now in majority of muslim world the leaders with guns and bombs r gettin popular ? is it just coz they think they need to have protectors against US rather than politicians ? seeing this victory with iran's last elections and major swift of vote in pakistan and turkey is suggestive of a major islamic fundamentalist back to the roots block finally created by US foriegn policies

i think that many expatriate palestinian and iraqi parents instill extremist emotions for the motherland in their US/UK born-children .. did anyone read about that dumbass iraqi-american kid who flew into downtown baghdad by himself? many desi extremists arent immune to this too, especially in the UK, where they get married and eat up social security money, and then plan out locations to bomb in that same country

I remember watching a cbc special a few months back and in the show they interviewed one of Sharon's top advisors, i forget his name, but he basically said Israeli secret service wanted Hamas to be a major political party in Palestine. That Israel would rather fight or "negotiate" with Hamas, the democratically elected party, under sanctions from countries which oppose the destruction of Israel(inwhich Hamas supports,) rather than fighting or "negotiating" with Hamas on the streets of Israel as a radical, un-elected, harder to contain element that would be much more difficult to find and destroy so to speak. So if you think of it this way, i think it makes alot more sense as to why Israel allowed Hamas to run in the elections in the first place. It seems this might've been all marvelously planned....i guess we'll just have to wait and see now

listen to this and behold this is all from official site of bbc :)
India has summoned the US ambassador to Delhi after comments he made over India's relations with Iran.

Israeli interim Prime Minister Ehud Olmert ruled out any talks with "an armed terror organisation that calls for Israel's destruction".

The Middle East "Quartet" of mediators - the US, UN, EU and Russia - urged Hamas to renounce violence.

Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei of Fatah has offered to resign, and the party has said it will not join Hamas in government

Hamas co-founder Mahmoud Zahar said: "We are not playing terrorism or violence. We are under occupation

The Israelis are continuing their aggression against our people, killing, detention, demolition and in order to stop these processes, we run effective self defence by all means, including using GUNS," he told BBC World TV.

i like it thats wat u call strongheaded brave men of india israel and arab communities
wish we (both pakistan and UK) had someone manly enuff atleast to speak against injustice

well this cud take two diff kinda turns
1. hamas gets toned down as they r responsible and a governament elected democratically and may be they r less corrupt and palestinians cud enjoy a few good days as well
2. as iran has already started backin em so we wud be able to see west vs afghan + iran + hamas + syria in action and as iran is the fav baby of russia as israel is for US so we cud see it expanding further and india will try to stay aside which might give pakistan a chance to get even with chinese power at their support and with all the nuclear weapons and missiles a vast destruction may be.
i can see italy france spain and india stayin out of it but Uk as always is entitled to lick US b*lls and it cud be a good time for a few USA enslaved nations such as pakistan UAE KSA etc to break free. but this election was a huge huge event.

i think 'y wud palestinians vote for a party hated by the whole west ???' may be irrelevant, palestinians would vote for whoever they believe is best, western notions might not even come into it.

every one is running around saying how surprised and shocked they were with this win. As a plaestinian this was not a big of a surprise. I know and every palestinian know how corrupt the PLO is. the people who voted very likely voted to improve their daily life regardless what the US thinks or want. power to the people.
