What's with all the Beckham bashing...i agree he hasn't been in good form lately...but you can't knock him for effort. He works tirelessly in most games and always does his fair share...he'll hopefully lead England in Germany where I believe we have a real chance of success.

Uppercut, you got a point. But I still think Beckham will be the fall of England (I really despise this fool). They should get rid of him now. He's not needed. You got Gerrard, Lampard, and Terry among others...who the flip needs Becks? Agent2000, if by soccer icon you mean Beckham, you must be mistaken. Beckham is an icon alright...for the gay men of the world.

Hahahaha Hani...YOU'RE RIGHT! There's only one good thing that comes out of Beckham's birthday and that's the fact he gets one year older which equates to one year closer to retirement. If (and that's a big if)England does win the WC, I can tell you from now it won't be because of Becks. Knowing him, he'll probably blow the game winning PK. Also, no hate toward England, but their soccer team always manages to choke when it comes to the tournaments. They remind me of NC State's basketball team (for those of you who watch ACC). They have the lead at the half then blow it and lose the game.
