Harry Potter Books
I didn't see anyone else who said anything about the Harry Potter Books. They're really good!
I'm going! They're so much fun! Besides I promise you, you won't be the oldest person there! Everyone digs the Potter man. Besides it's a great excuse to dress up and as a Muslim girl you can pull out an Abaya and everyone will think it's a "Dress Robe." I went as a dementor to our movie theater's grand opening (it was HP 1) and actually won a contest. My sister dresses up like Fleur. Little known fact. Harry Potter should be turning 25 at the end of the month. His birthday is 7/30/1980.
I can't wait for book six either! I'm starting to really wonder if maybe Nevil is, "The Boy Who Lived". And Harry has just been a decoy. Or, maybe he's the one who is supposed to kill "Old Voldy-moldy" JK Rowling said that Nevil was a VERY IMPORTANT CENTRAL and character. I wonder what's in store for us now. Sonia are the books written in Urdu in Pakistan, or is it just the English Version?
They can be easy reading but they can also be like Jane Eyre in complexity. The storys are really deep if you're reading them that way. I'm currently reading book 3 with a book called Ultimate Unofficial Guide to the Mysteries of Harry Potter by Galadriel Waters & Astre Mithrandir. It's good. She's witing the books with hints to the end. All the books are a big mystery.
They're good books - but they are really easy reading, I tried reading Jane Eyre afterwards and the brain has to do a complete 180 for the reading level.
There's a village dedicated to Harry Potter as well. I've read all five, and it's interesting how the writing style of the books is maturing along with Harry (as each book represents one year in his life). The fifth book dealt with a great deal of angst and frustration in Harry's life, and it was interesting to see that development/change. Now, where can I get Dumbledore glasses... hmm...
