ahh yes lots of good records! an album by Boxer Rebellion called "Exits" (sounds like early Verve mixed with Chameleons mixed with Radiohead...very cool) and Editors "Back Room" which sounds quite alot like Interpol, but is actually GOOD for a change. I've been listening to the latest Stellastarr album as well. The Mark Gardener album is also good, the songs are beautiful, although the musicians don't do it justice. Also check out a little band called The Bavarian Druglords, maaaaaaan :) CHEERS and Happy new year!-----tanvir
OMD will be reforming next year both for the purposes of live performances and also a new OMD album. Unfortunately it's too early to give definite plans, but the approximate timeline is for a series of warm-up gigs in the UK in September 2006, which may be expanded to include other countries in the mid-Autumn period. A fuller touring schedule (along with album release details) will be scheduled for Spring 2007.
The band line-up will consist of Andy McCluskey, Paul Humphreys, Mal Holmes and Martin Cooper. The line-up will also include Stuart Kershaw for live shows.
The UK shows will also be special showcase performances in which OMD will perform Architecture & Morality in its entirety.
More details are avilable on the Official OMD Website news page omd.uk.com
BTW I recorded a couple of live Coldplay tracks when they were performing on PBS' Austin City Limits a couple of weeks ago, with Michael Stipe (REM) on lead vocals. One song was REM's 'Nightswimming' and the other was 'In The Sun' which was written by some other artist.
I can upload the MP3s next week if anyone is interested.
