Helloooo Chicago
My name's Zia and I'm a chef in NY. I'm trying hard to get a job at a new restaurant in Chicago called Alinea, with Chef Grant Achatz.
I just want to know if anyone has tried the fine dining scene around Chicago (i.e. Trotters, Tru, Trio, Alinea, etc.) and if so, what do you think of the places?
I only ask because leaving my entire life in NY to come work in Chicago is a big step, so I want to know if the restaurants are worth the recognitions. NY has a bunch of competitive places, but Chicago's fine dining scene stands out as well.
